Phishing red flags: what actually deserves attention

The phishing warning signs that genuinely matter, what each one means in practice, and why no single red flag should decide whether an email is safe on its own.

Choose the explanation that suits you. Both versions cover the same topic.

Pressure to act now

Threats about account closure, unpaid bills or missed deliveries are often used to rush a decision. Stop and verify.

Money and bank-detail changes

Check new payment instructions with the person using a number you already know. A familiar email address can still be misused.

Passwords, codes and unexpected approval screens

Do not send passwords or security codes. Do not approve an unfamiliar sign-in or paste a code just because an email tells you to.

Instructions to fix your computer

An email or webpage asking you to paste a command into your computer can be dangerous. Ask your IT team or trusted support for help.

Unexpected attachments and QR codes

A document, image or QR code can lead you into another step of a scam. Jatzo can inspect supported content, but it cannot make every file safe to open.

One warning is not the whole story

Poor spelling, a foreign country or an HTTP link can deserve attention without proving a scam. Read the combined evidence and verify important requests independently.
